Robert D. Forman (1911-1971) was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and attended the Southwestern University, Memphis, Tennessee and studied law at the University of Memphis. In 1938, he joined the Army Air Corps reserve, trained as a pilot and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in September, 1939. He was called to active duty in September, 1940. Forman trained flying cadets and instructed pilots at the advanced Flying School, Kelly Field, Texas, during the early years of World War II. In 1943, he ...
